Ocean Warriors is Portstewart's oldest Surf store and has now
entered a new chapter! Located besides Shenanigans in the popular
family resort it has long been known as a great place to get kitted out
for play time in the Atlantic! With the rising popularity of water sports
people are now enjoying the Atlantic Ocean and our beaches in many
different forms all of which, Ocean Warriors cater for. Now under new management the store caters for Surfers, Body-boarders, Kiters and
Kayakers!
The store is run by Chris and Rosie. Chris has been surfing for twenty
years and Rosie is a keen paddler! The rest of the staff all surf, body-
board, kite or paddle so you're always guaranteed good and honest
advice. We want to see you getting the most out of your play time!
Alongside the surf and paddle hardware we also have a great range of
Power Kites - these ain't no toys! On the fashion front there's
something for everyone from baby surf wear to youths, mens and of
course the ladies, from Cult, Billabong, Weirdfish, Plain Lazy and Circle
One. The range of surf, body-boards, kayaks, kites and wetsuits are
always expanding and there’s also a great range of hire equipment.
We’re also a Test Centre for Circle One Boards and Islander Kayaks
so you can try before you buy!
It's an exciting time with so many people getting in the water. Obviously
with the sea there’s always an element of risk but if people take a surf
lesson, learn about the ocean and tackle things responsibly then it's a
great way to live, get fit and also enjoy yourself at the same time. With wetsuit technology coming on leaps and bounds over the last few years there's no excuse for not getting involved!
